Omišalj is located on the northwestern part of the island of Krk, on the part where the island is closest to the mainland. It is located on an 85-meter-high cliff, which gives it a special charm, and is, next to the town of Krk, the oldest living settlement on the island. Omišalj has preserved its medieval urban structure, and the charming old center with its narrow streets is a pedestrian zone. Along the edge of the cliff there is a walled promenade, perfect for summer evenings as it offers silence, peace and a beautiful view of the sea.
